Kom ombo.

t was three thirty in the afternoon and we had rested in a small space of time after having spent an exciting morning in Edfu, a typical Egyptian city. Now the boat had come to our next destination, the small town of Kom Ombo, where you will find a majestic temple.

Among other details you can observe a cubicle where they were hiding the ancient priests to issue imitate voices called gods and a meter (Nilometer) of the waters of the Nile, with which the Pharaohs fixed taxes in each year since it linked the greater or lesser flood of the Nile River with the possibility of higher yields.

After leaving the boat (temperature about 18-20 º C) heat of hell brutally beat us (temperature about 45 º C) and after a short but harrowing journey we arrived to the temple. There, the places where you could find a shade was scarce and highly coveted. Thanks (and a council to follow), we carried umbrellas for protection from the sun, because when you had the misfortune to be a few seconds directly supporting the sun, it seemed you were being cooked on a barbecue.
New photos, a small snack on the terrace where the guide recommended us next to the temple and them we got back to the boat, through a sort of makeshift souk at the edge of the Nile River where many sellers of all ages "caught" you every time if you are interested in some of the many crafts and textiles that were sold. So we got to our boat to prepare for our first party in Egypt, set in Arabian style. Although this will be the next chapter.
