Arrive in luxor.

It was 10:00 p.m. when the plane was landind at Luxor international airport. We were flying for five hours since we have started this amazing travel in Madrid. The previous day, my wife and I came back from Moscow (but i will talk about this story another day) and we met my wife´s sister and her husband at Barajas airport in order to start this long flight over the mediterranean sea with destination to the country of the pyramids.

After landing we took a bus to the terminal where dozens of tourist guides (wearing masks to avoid breath contagious due to A-influenza) were waiting for everyone of the ingenous travellers. At first of all we had to fill and application form for getting the Egypt visa and go through the control gate where a ragged egiptian military was stamping every passport without looking neither the document nor our faces. That´s egiptian security!,but at least we have arrived to the land of the pyramids. By the way, the temperature then was almost 32 ºC (it was 11:00 p.m.!)

After meeting our guide, named Ahmed, we took a van and went to the best hotel i´ve ever been over a river (indeed, the only one i´ve ever been). This was a barge (one of the hundred of them), the boat Amarante Isis, that sail the Nile river from Luxor till Aswan, situated at the south of the country. So, we started our Nile river cruise.

We left the suitcase in the rooms and arrive at the deck, where we had the first wonderful moment in the travel: we were dinnering over the Nile river and drinking a very cold and big beer, at last!

Soon, the next chapter.
